Refused login (password problem?)

I placed the snipe a good 5 hours before auction end. I signed out of ibay and ebay and shut down. I have never had this happen before and I set a snipe today and though I did not win, it worked fine.

I have not changed any passwords whatsoever.
Im hoping you can tell me what happened.

I checked the logs and see that eBay did not respond on login at all (timed out).
I don't think there is an issue with your password, it was a problem with eBay's response at this moment.

It used to happen often a few years ago, but I see eBay improved a lot and that happens rare. I'm sorry you lost your item because of it, but unfortunately there is not much can be done about it when eBay does not respond.
I really hope you will find a better deal on the same thing.
